"Rosary for World Peace" greeting card

On May 13, 1917, a beautiful woman in brilliant white appeared to three shepherd children - Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia - in Fatima, Portugal. She visited them on the thirteenth of each month, from May to October. Our Lady urged the children: "Pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war." Her apparitions became known, but many discounted the children. On the last appearance, she promised a sign so all would believe. Thousands of people showed up. It was raining, but the clouds opened and the sun was visible. All of a sudden, it revolved around its axis, and sped towards the earth! People were terrified. The sun returned to its normal place, and everyone's clothing was dry. The Blessed Virgin revealed herself as Our Lady of the Rosary. Her message is timeless - pray, make sacrifices and be devoted to her Immaculate Heart, in order to save souls.

May 13 is the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima.
